Hi, I'm Guillermo!

I’m a web developer and UX designer from the San Francisco Bay Area. I enjoy designing and building websites and web applications. Currently, I’m diving deeper into React and UX design to sharpen my skills.

My experience

Over the past few years, I worked as a Web Developer at Sift on the Marketing team. I focused on front-end web development, creating and maintaining pages for the Marketing site. I recently put my UX Design skills to the test and created new designs for a pianist based in Oakland.

My journey

Prior to tech, I was a forensic scientist and specialized in DNA and biology and also did crime scene processing. My journey into web development began with curiosity and a Udemy course, then into earning a certificate in full stack web development from UC Berkeley extension. Since then, I’ve worked professionally as a Web Developer at Sift and earned a professional certificate in UX design. I aim to merge my skills as a web developer with design to design and build the best possible user experiences.

In my spare time

I really enjoy fencing, playing video games, hitting the gym, learning how to bake, and exploring San Francisco to find new places to eat at!
